Tips and Tricks for a Fun and Fresh Candy Buffet!

Bring a burst of color, sweetness, and fun to any celebration with a Candy Buffet. These whimsical displays are more than just a treat for the taste buds – they are a feast for the eyes and a conversation starter. At Sticky’s we were pleased to be helping locals build their own Candy Buffets for events since 2013. Over the year’s we have learned a lot about creating successful candy buffets for every type of special event.

One of the things that make Candy Buffets so popular is that they can be designed to match any theme or personality. One of the local couples we assisted designed their wedding candy buffet with a retro ‘70s vibe to go with her family’s hot orange muscle car. Much of the nostalgic candy they were looking for we had in stock, but we were also able to source some specialty items for them as well — including some nostalgia inspired tins!

After seeing how great that candy buffet turned out we thought it would be a brilliant match for the 75th wedding anniversary candy buffet. Instead the family members organizing opted for an elegant buffet with a combination of white and opalescent candy. They also opted to include a selection of sugar-free candies and had special labels done for the jars in silver and with miniature twinkle lights entwined throughout the entire effect was elegant and beautiful!

If you are matching a colour scheme keep in mind the look of the overall table. You will want to have your main colour in several shades, but also have some neutral colours (yes! We can find you neutral coloured candy!) so it appears to be a monochromatic theme, but with more visual interest.

For an elegant look you may want to have a limited colour palette, and more classic style jars and scoops. Remember to match the scoop or tong size to the style of candy.
